IN MY NINETIETH YEAR, a poem

The vampire of old age

drains life from my legs,

weakens my eyes,

sucks away my energy

A certain escape:

The doorway to death

lying inevitably just

a day or a decade away

ODE TO THE HARD CORE , a poem

All praise

to the authoritarian

and his sons

No need for elections

or demonstrations

or debate

Know there are places

to put those enemies

who disagree

INFATUATION (Senryu)

THE CURIOUS MIND, a poem

The curious mind thrives

in the age of the internet

With many forks in the road

on the information highway,

each answer spurs

question after question,

continuing until curiosity

is sated or exhausted

CONJUGAL SECRETS, a poem

Think of others,

and so will I

Yet, we’ll be together

till we die

Our inner thoughts

might center on desire

for those in our pasts

who set us on fire

Don’t tell me,

I won’t tell you

And, we’ll live

happily ever after

DOZING, a tercet

Dozing today

and every day

Sleeping life away
